Election dates declared: States fates to be sealed in 8 phase election

In the states of West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Assam, Kerala and Puducherry Elections will be held. In West Bengal the elections will be held in 8 Phases, the Chief Election Commissioner Sunil Arora declared to which the West Bengal Chief Minister Mamta Banerji objected and questioned the decision. In a press conference, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamta Banerji said that her party is very strong in 24 Pargana. She questioned the decision of 3 phase election in 24 Pargana. She directly hits at the main opposition political opponent The Bharatiya Janta Party by saying that are these dates fixed for the convenience of the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Indian Home Minister Amit Shah. She askes the Election Commissioner not to look at the elections through the eyes of the Bharatiya Janta Party. Mamta further hits at Amit Shah that he is the Indian Home Minister and his entire focus should be for the nation whereas he is using wrong means to influence the West Bengal elections. Mamta welcomes the Indian Prime Minister to West Bengal but cautions him from influencing the West Bengal election.

In the States of Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Kerala election will be held on 6th April whereas the counting and results will be declared on 2nd May whereas in Assam the elections will be held in three-phases that is on 27th March, 1st April and 6th April. Here too the results will be 2nd May.

Second Phase: April 1

Third Phase: April 6

Fourth Phase: April 10

Fifth Phase: April 17

Sixth Phase: April 22

Seventh Phase: April 26

Eight Phase: April 29
