Handed over of recovered mobile Phone, valued Rs-20000/- by on duty RPF Staff of Puri

On 16.11.2021 at about-08.00 hrs, while on duty Officer & Staff [ASI K.S. Paikray & B.B.Bisoi] were engaged for checking of empty Coaches of train No.02837 [Howrah-Puri Express] to prevent criminal activities, noticed one mobile phone [Model-Samsung Galaxy, M32] was kept on seat No.78 [upper seat], Cach No.S-7 in unclaimed condition. As the recovered mobile Phone was in switched off condition, so the RPF Staff brought the same to RPF Post Puri for further hand over to it’s owner. After Providing charging when the recovered Phone switched on at about-11.30 hrs a call received on the recovered Phone & the caller informed her identity as Smt Bela Ghosh, w/o-Hemant Ku Ghosh, At-VTC, Durbaral, Dist-South 24 Parganas [W.B.]. She further informed that on 15.11.2021, she boarded in train No.02837 [HWH-Puri Express] from Howrah – Puri, seat No. 78 & others along with her family members. The above train reached at Puri at the early morning of 16.11.2021 & they all got down from train leaving behind her mobile. After reaching at Hotel Nilgiri she was searching her mobile Phone, but the same was showing switched off. On getting information about recovery of her mobile Phone, she requested to keep the same at RPF Post Puri till her reaching as they were in “Satpada area”. On 17.11.2021 she attended RPF Post Puri and after due verification the recovered mobile Phone handed over to her. After received the same concern Passenger appreciated the act of RPF Staff.
