ICC delegation discuss vital issues with Finance Minister

Kolkata, 10 February (HS):  Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman held a post Budget discussion with senior members of the Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) here last night regarding several bold initiatives taken by her during the budget speech in Parliament on 1 February. Among the issues which came up for discussions during the two hourlong meetings included the bold measures like big infra plan, disinvestment of LIC, allowing higher fiscal deficit for growth and Agri sector push like the introduction of Kisan Rail and UDAN to address evacuation issues. 
The ICC delegation also made a few suggestions on DDT, NPA rules, interpretation concerns with Tax rules, multiple approvals for the retail sector, Export SOPs especially for labor-intensive industry and real estate sector issues. During the discussion in the cordial atmosphere, some ICC members also expressed concerns over TCS implication on Indian exports and other issues like ESOP. The delegation which was led by ICC President Mayank Jalan comprised it is Senior Vice President Vikash Agarwal, Chairman, RP-SG Group Sanjiv Goenka, Chairman Bengal Ambuja Harsha Neotia, Shree Cement Chairman H M Bangur, Dhunseri Petrochem Chairman C K Dhanuka, Patton Group Chairman Sanjay Budhia, Obeetee, and Luxmi Tea Chairman Rudra Chatterjee, Spencer’s India Director Shaswat Goenka and Dr. Rajeev Singh, Director General, ICC.
