Kanpur. Regency Hospital located in Sarvodaya Nagar, which is considered one of the prestigious hospitals in terms of treatment, is no longer in the panel of CGHS i.e. Central Government Health Scheme. It has been removed from CGHS from the night of 11th. The reason for this is the confirmation of allegations of irregularities in treatment in the investigation, according to which a 58 year old woman was treated on the card of an 85 year old woman in Regency Hospital. When the Chief Vigilance Commission investigated the matter on the basis of the complaint, this action has been taken against the hospital after the allegations were found to be true. Currently, Regency Hospital has been given 15 days to give its reply on the CGHS portal in this matter. This case has been a topic of discussion due to many serious allegations being made against Regency Hospital earlier also.

According to the letter issued by CGHS in this regard, on 21 December 2018, CGHS card of 85-year-old Kamala Devi was used for treatment in Regency Sarvodaya Nagar. The number of this card which was used wrongly was 4517562.
According to the information given by CGHS Additional Director Dr. Kiran Singh, the clerk got another 58-year-old woman treated on the card of his 85-year-old grandmother. The 58-year-old woman died during the treatment. A complaint was made to CVC (Central Vigilance Commission) from Kanpur. And when it was investigated, the fraud was revealed. According to the information, 85-year-old Kamala Devi’s photo was on her card. Whereas the age of the woman who was treated was recorded as 58 years. In this regard, CVC sent a notice to Regency Hospital through CGHS for clarification. The hospital was given 20 days for this. But no reply was given by the hospital. Currently, at 12 o’clock on the night of 11 November, Regency Hospital has been shown the way out of the panel of directors.
Let us inform you that even before this, serious allegations have been leveled against Regency Hospital regarding taking more money in the name of treatment. This is the reason why this matter has become a topic of discussion in the entire city.
