Prime Minister appeals to adopt ‘ Janata curfew ‘ this Sunday to deal with Corona
New Delhi , 19 March (H.S): Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged the countrymen to impose a 14-hour ‘public curfew’ on March 22 (Sunday) from 7 am to 9 pm to save the country from the corona virus epidemic. He urged the countrymen to encourage the people engaged in providing necessary facilities in their own way in gratitude while staying at their home at five o’clock this day.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday, in his message to the nation about the global pandemic Corona, urged people to avoid the tendency of buying wildly. He said that the government was ensuring that there was no shortage of food, medicines and other essentials in the country.
The Prime Minister urged rich and resourceful people to take care of the interests of the people working in their offices, shops and homes. If those people are not able to come to work then do not stop their salary or remuneration.
Referring to the government’s efforts to deal with the economic crisis caused by Corona, he said that a task force was formed under the leadership of the Finance Minister to assess the effects of the epidemic on the country’s economy and to prepare a counter strategy accordingly.
The Prime Minister said that experience has been gained from other countries of the world that after some days of normalcy, there has been an explosive increase in cases related to this disease. He said that the crisis related to corona is not common and no treatment for corona has been discovered so far.
He asked the people to take a pledge that they will follow all the government guidelines and will also concern themselves with other people’s health. He said that people should not leave the house in this hour of corona crisis. In his message, he advised citizens between the ages of 60 and 65 not to leave the house.
In this sequence, the Prime Minister appealed to the people to adopt the ‘Janata Curfew’ i.e. the public to follow the curfew for the people. He said that everyone is advised to stay indoors from 7 am to 9 pm on March 22 to take stock of India’s preparedness to deal with the global epidemic. Only essential services are excluded from it. He said that the experience of ‘Janata curfew’ will be useful for the country even further.
The Prime Minister appealed to the people not to go to hospitals and health facilities unnecessarily. He further said that people should consult their family and any other doctor over the phone. Also, if any surgery or other treatment can be avoided for further, then postpone it.
