Promote local product and cut down on imports- PM

Varanasi, February 16 (HS) Pushing for development and stressing upon purchase of local products, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday asked people to prefer to cut down imports.
Addressing Saints and others at Jangamwadi Math, he said, “his aim is to make a new India and this goal would not be achieved without it. Saints have played a major role in cleaning Ganga and other such projects.They can play a big role in this respect too.
Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Governor Anandiben Patel were among those present on the occasion.
The Prime Minister who arrived this morning has a busy schedule. Besides unveiling a statue of Deen Dayal Upadhyay and flagging off a new express train, he will lay a foundation or inaugurate about 50 projects worth over Rs 1200 crores.
