Ghazipur: On Wednesday, Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya accused the Samajwadi Party of attempting to divide society and instill enmity among the people. He further stated, while addressing BJP workers, that the Samajwadi Party (SP) will become a “samaptwadi party” after the 2024 Lok Sabha elections due to its own actions.”What an SP member has stated about the Ramcharitmanas is geared at inciting animosity and dividing society,” Keshav Maurya remarked.Swami Prasad Maurya, a prominent OBC leader and senior SP member, had recently triggered a controversy by claiming that certain verses of the Ramcharitmanas – a popular version of the Ramayana penned by Tulsidas – “insult” a large section of society on the basis of caste and demanded that these be “banned”. Taking aim at SP head Akhilesh Yadav, the deputy chief minister stated that he had yet to win an election since his party was deposed from office. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has assured that every single rupee enters the accounts of plan and schemes participants, according to the BJP politician.”The SP government extended patronage to criminals. However, under the BJP’s dual engine government (at the Centre and in the state), criminals are on the run,” he stated. The Congress, according to the deputy chief minister, committed a fault by referring to Lord Ram as fictitious. According to Keshav Maurya, the impact is that the Congress’ name and traces are being obliterated. “Today, opposition parties are fighting for power,” he remarked. The BJP’s “double engine” government is working for the benefit of the poor, according to Keshav Maurya, adding that this never happened during the SP, BSP, or Congress regimes in the state. He also urged BJP workers to make every effort to guarantee the party’s triumph in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections and cautioned them of opposition parties’ plans.
