Secret Glass Room will be made for women in every police station: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath~Under Mission Shakti, Chief Minister inaugurated women help desk in all police stations of the State. These rooms will be fully transparent and equipped with basic facilities.

Lucknow, 23rd October 2020. Taking the Mission Shakti initiative a step further, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath Ji instructed to build a Secret Glass Room in each police station. These fully transparent rooms will be equipped with all basic facilities. In this, the aggrieved woman will be able to speak without any hesitation to the female police personnel. Not only this, all the numbers (1090, 181, 112,1076,1098, and 102) will be written on any place visible in the women’s help desk or Secret Room, on which a woman can call for help when needed. A warning will also be mandated for those who misuse them with numbers, he said while inaugurating the women’s help desk to be set up at all the 1535 police stations of the State under the ‘Mission Shakti’ campaign at his official residence on Friday. In his address, the Chief Minister said that respecting women has to be made into a ritual. For this, take this program of Mission Shakti to schools, colleges and other institutions as well. Make people aware about this during morning prayers and any cultural event. For this, the open-minded women who come forward, will get better results.Miscreants are at Backfoot Yogi ji said that a lot has changed during the week-long Mission Shakti program. The elements who are trying to blow incidents out of proportion are now at the backfoot. The police department has done a better job during this period. The activities of various departments related to the campaign and the future action plan should be reviewed by the Chief Secretary and the Chief Minister’s Office.CM said that this program of Mission Shakti should be taken in a broader context. This is a campaign to change people’s thinking and values towards women. This will happen only when more and more people join it. When the people from society also connects with the governance and administration of any campaign, the results are better.
The government appreciated the efforts of womenDuring this time, the Chief Minister also spoke to some women and public representatives at the women’s help desks set up in Gautambuddh Nagar, Lucknow, Varanasi, Meerut and Agra.The women representatives said that the government has been committed from the beginning to protect, honor and make the women self-reliant.  Various steps of the government have brought a sense of security and confidence in women. This process will be further enhanced with the ongoing campaign Mission Shakti. At the beginning of the program, DGP Hitesh Chandra Awasthi said that our whole effort is to realise the concept of ‘Mitra Police’. We will leave no stone unturned to make Uttar Pradesh a safe state.He also informed the Chief Minister about the progress of the campaign so far. The program was conducted by Additional Chief Secretary Home, Awanish Kumar Awasthi. ADG law and order Prashant Verma and various police officers of the government level, senior officers of all departments of the government involved in the campaign and officers and public representatives at the district level were present in the program.
