“SHUATS organized Rural Agro advisory services sponsored Kishan Amrit Mashotsav”

Under gramin Krishi Mausam Seva project the “Kisan Amrit Mahotsava” programme was organized on 17/12/2021 in College of Forestry, SHUATS. In the above programme chief guest Prof. (Dr.) S.B.Lal Pro Vice Chancellor (admin.) said that farmers play an important role in our Indian economy. He told that farmers are backbone of our rural system. He said that today our country is celebrating 75th anniversary of independence, under which Amrith Mahotsav is being celebrated. He focused and appreciated the role of farmers during independence movement and also outline  information provided by the Gramin Krisi Msuasam Seva under College of Forestry of this university  to follow agro technology practices in futures  for improving rural economy.

Prof. A.J.Raj Dean, College of Forestry, while addressing the farmers said that crop production through changing weather based agro-forestry techniques plays an important role in improving the economy of rural people. Dr. Praven Charan, Technical officer conducted the programme and welcome the farmers participated in the programme.

During technical session Dr. B Mehra Associate nodal officer of GKMS focused on the role of Agrometerolgy project in Indian agricultural economy. He also told that about 60% indian populations are directly or indirectly depend on agriculture. Dr. Somnath Sen outlines the role insect pest and disease and their control measures in agriculture.

In this programme a farmers quiz was also organized in which 6 winner farmers were honored by swall and bouquet.

During this programme Dr. Neelam Khare, Dr. Wani, Dr. Larkin, Dr. Rambhorse, Dr. S. Nath, Dr Hemant Kumar, Dr. Sweta Gautam, Dr. E.P. Mishra,  Ramesh Chandra Patel, Sanjay Kumar and progressive farmers of different villages of  Prayagraj district were also present.
