SJC organises “Rubaru”

Prayagraj. Is there a more fabulous feeling than to go back to where one learnt it all, to give back in various ways and to recreate memories, old and new? This year on 17th November, 2024, the students who have passed out from St Joseph’s College, Prayagraj celebrated this rendezvous with a theme “Rubaru” keeping in tune with its Post Centenary Ruby Jubilee. Going down the memory lane,everyone was emotional with tears of joy coming unbidden to see their Alma Mater reaching greater heights and even more emotional to receive the love and warmth by the Principal, Rev. Fr. Walter D’Silva.

SJC this year celebrated their 140 years with a grand Annual Athletic meet, where the Batch of 1974 celebrated their Golden Jubilee. The batch of 1999 also celebrated their Silver Jubilee and donated 5 floodlights to the school as a mark of respect and love for their institution. A beautiful puppet show was organized by the UP Lok Evem Janjati Sanskriti Sansthan which mesmerized the entire audience. On the eve of celebrating 140 years, the Old Boys’ Association launched the SJC OBA website and merchandise inaugurated by Rev.Fr Walter D’Silva.

The gathering was made all the more enchanting by a cultural evening where songs were presented by Group Captain Achyut Kumar, flute performance by Sreedhar Puri, casio performance by Vignesh Agarwal and Reyansh Agarwal. A beautiful song presented by Siddharth Deb. A scintillating performance was given by Piyush Tandon.

Other dignitaries present were Justice Siddharth Verma, Mr. A. N. Sinha, Mr. Ajay Singh, Mr. Ashok Bharat, Mr, Anand Pandey, Mr. Ashok Maheshwari, Mr. Vinayak Tandon, Advocate Sanjeev Singh, Mr. Shankar Chatterjee, Dr. Swarn Mehrotra, Mr. Asif Kamal, Mr. Abhishek Verma, Mr. C.K. Pathak, Mr. Sanjay, Mr.Sarbojit Banerji and the list goes on.
