Bleisure” is the latest buzz word all over the world to check the Business hospitality of a city.
“Bleisure” means, business and Leisure. Business and leisure are two important parameters to check how well the city is poised to give a welcoming environment to people who visit the place to do business with as well as spend time in leisure. This combination of Business and Leisure is attracting the affluent class therefore benefiting the city.
An Economist Intelligence Unit survey on Business travellers ranked 26 cities in Asia on parameters ranging from connectivity to dining out. Top 10 Bleisure destinations are :-
1.Tokyo. 2. Singapore. 3. Sydney. 4. Hong Kong. 5. Melbourne. 6. Shanghai. 7. Beijing. 8. Osaka. 9. Perth. 10. Seoul
Among the top 20 cities the surprise package is that Mumbai is 13th and Delhi is 16thramked.
Both Mumbai and Delhi have scored high on the context of Cultural aspect which is also very important to give an environment to the business class all over the world. Other parameters which has been used as a tool to judge are: Ease of Transportation, Overall safety and orderliness of streets/ urban areas, Quality of business facilities, quality of lodging, level of digital connectivity, Prevalence and quality of English Language and quality of international and regional links.
