Young school boy of pool car accident died

Kolkata, 22 February (HS): Five year old school student  Rishav Singh who was fighting for his life for the past one week since he was seriously injured in a severe pool car accident at Polaba near Srirampore in Hooghly district on 14 February, died at SSKM government hospital here this morning leaving his entire family,friends and large number of well wishers in a state of shock and devastation.
Ending all out efforts of the  medical team of experts in the super specialty hospital to save his life of this young child despite severe damage to his lungs,kidneys,heart and brain due to the huge impact of the accident,ended at around 6.a.m. this morning, said the doctors. 
Rishav along with 13 other children of a well known English medium school  at Srirampore, about 40 km from Kolkata,were seriiuosly injured after their pool car in which they were returning home,fell into a roadside ditch full of dirty water after the driver lost control on 14 February. While barring two,all other injured were released after two days from a local hospital, Rishav and his classmate Dibangshu were brought to SSKM hospital here for further treatment as their condition deteriorated. Soon both of them were put under ventilation from where Dibangshu recovered a lot and could be shifted  to the  general ward of the hospital a couple of days ago, but the condition of Rishav continued to  deteriorate further and he remained in a state of coma since he was brought to the hospital.
After coming to know that Rishav’s fight for life  has come to an end,his parents,other members of his family and others who was camping in the hospital since his admission there, burst in to tears and were seen consoling by others.Meanwhile,the driver of the ill fated but poor maintained car, who was also  injured in the accident, and the owner of the car have been arrested and a case begun.
